The 2024 Edelman Trust Barometer, a comprehensive survey conducted among more than 32,000 respondents in 28 countries, reaffirms the UAE’s reputation for trustworthiness. This global survey revealed that the UAE is one of the most trusted countries globally, ranking third worldwide.
The study evaluates trust in four key institutions: government, business, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and media.
The UAE’s leadership has consistently prioritized building a nation where trust in the government is not just an aspiration but a reality. “With a trust rating of 84%, this reflects the government’s continued commitment to transparency, efficiency, and responsive governance,” as indicated by the survey.
Beyond trust in institutions, according to the survey, “a remarkable 76% of respondents in the UAE believe if business partners with government, they would trust it more with technology-led changes. This reflects trust in the country’s policies and the tangible opportunities for individuals and businesses to thrive.
The UAE’s enduring commitment to fostering trust and its continued success in this endeavor is a testament to its leaders, businesses, and civil society’s tireless efforts. This unwavering trust is a powerful asset, ensuring that the UAE continues to stand as a global exemplar of a trustworthy and forward-thinking nation.
