The Jais Sky Tour takes thrill-seekers to the top of the Hajar Mountains in Ras Al Khaimah for a zipline experience, traveling up to 60kmph. It covers 30 km of mountain roads leading to the UAE’s highest peak, Jebel Jais, at 1,934 meters. The tour features six ziplines stretching across 5 km, ranging from 337 meters to over 1 km in length, offering incredible views of the mountains. The whole experience lasts about 2 hours, with participants crossing seven platforms, including the sky bridge, which sits 1,250 meters above sea level and 300 meters above the ground.

You’ll maneuver obstacles on what seems like a floating climbing frame suspended 10 meters above the ground. The course features an array of challenges, including rope swings, a narrow bicycle link, rickety bridges, balancing stands, swinging loops, and crawl tunnels. While the lower level is designed to provide children as young as six with a thrilling adventure, the higher level caters to teens and adults looking to conquer a complex maze of obstacles.

Jais Viewing Deck Park: A panoramic paradise

The ascent to the Jais Viewing Deck Park, perched at 1,250 meters above sea level and nearly 30 kilometers into the heart of the mountains, offers an opportunity to delve into the geological history of the Emirate, formed over 70 million years ago.

The Jais Viewing Deck Park is just shy of the summit, featuring seven viewing decks equipped with 12 powerful binoculars. These binoculars provide unparalleled panoramas of winding roads, plunging valleys, towering peaks, date wadis, villages, and the serene Arabian Gulf. You can also witness visitors soaring through the sky on the Jais Flight.

The well-maintained roads are accessible by both car and bike, providing access to the ultimate viewing deck. This deck showcases stunning mountain vistas, rolling desert-scapes, and the expanse of the Arabian Gulf.

Open from Sunday to Thursday, 8:00am to 8:00pm, and from Friday to Saturday, 8:00am to 11:00pm, the Jais Viewing Deck Park is a haven for both stargazers and astrophotography enthusiasts due to its remote location and clear skies.
