The National Museum of Ras Al Khaimah finds its historical roots in the 18th Century, situated within the ancient fort of old Ras Al Khaimah. Over the last two centuries, the fort has undergone extensive reconstruction and expansion. Initially built as a defense stronghold, it also served as the residence of the ruling Qawasim family until the 20th Century, eventually transforming into a museum in 1987.

Open all week except Mondays from 8 am to 6 pm, the museum boasts several galleries, each with a unique theme and focus, providing a comprehensive understanding of Ras Al Khaimah’s rich and diverse past.
