Extras at School

As your children grow up, it’s important to balance a good education and extracurricular activities that will help them develop other skills. Critical thinking, social awareness, and leadership skills can all be developed with programs outside school hours.

After-school activities are provided for Grades 1-11 and offered each term at GEMS Westminster. The lessons are offered once a week, for 45 minutes after school. Opportunities and the selection process are emailed to parents well in advance.

This school has stepped up its extracurricular game! Ras Al Khaimah International Primary School in Khuzam (IPK) offers several activities after school hours, including arts, choir, life skills, languages, sports (including inter-school competitions), technology, and academic and outdoor pursuits.

The sessions are usually eight weeks long, running Monday to Friday from 2:30 pm – 3:30 pm. There are three termly sessions each year, and parents must sign their children up if they want them to get involved.

Students will be stuck for choice with eco, French, construction, and art, or they can pick up hobbies such as Taekwondo, choir, and Lego robotics.
