RAK Academy: British School Al Rams (BSR)
The British School Al Rams (BSR) has many strong reviews that showcase its strength in educating the British Curriculum and was even recognized as a ‘warm and friendly school.’
The school is set in the beautiful backdrop of the Ras Al Khaimah mountains, giving students a breath of nature while they engage in sports and outdoor extracurricular activities during the winter seasons.
With students from Pre-KG to Grade 5, there is a ‘priority to ensure that they develop as passionate, independent learners with strong values who achieve the highest academic standards.’
RAK Academy: British School Khuzam (BSK)
The British School Khuzam (BSK) is known to have a long legacy of providing an excellent British-based education with an adaptive teaching style to meet the diverse needs of its learners. The BSK teaches an in-depth British education while maintaining the UAE context.
The rigor of the English National Curriculum is combined with core subjects of Arabic, Islamic, and Social Studies. Students receive a well-rounded, creative education that develops and challenges them academically and instills key skills, values, and attitudes that will remain with them throughout their education and adulthood.
The vision of BSK is “learning excellence with a community heart”. This allows students to work in a harmonious environment where hard work is encouraged and peers are encouraged to help one another. The child’s development is at the forefront of what BSK does best.
Allison Lloyd is the principal of BSK and often talks about how British-based education is one of the most important curriculums taught and how children should actively work in groups to encourage confidence in student-led learning.
RAK Academy: International Secondary Khuzam (ISK)
Founded almost 50 years ago, the International Secondary Khuzam (ISK) has built a reputation as the pre-eminent provider of KG to Grade 12 education in the Emirate.
The International School is led by principal Dr Jaqueline Bandara, who strongly supports the British education taught at ISK. The school aims to offer a broad and balanced education to local and international children aged 3 to 18, including International Baccalaureate and British curriculum options. This choice of curriculum gives parents more opportunity to decide which teaching method best suits their needs.
ISK offers the British Curriculum to students from Grades 6 to Grade 12. There is also a wide range of option choices in Grades 9 and 10 that provide students with bespoke pathways. This is done in the same way as the UK, to ensure that the educational needs of students are met and they can pave a path that will benefit them in their future aspirations.
The same two options are provided in Grades 11 and 12, offering A-Levels or the International Baccalaureate.
